We have probably all experienced times in our lives when we found ourselves in the wrong place. This is because we decided to follow a certain path that took us there. These places can be in our career, our relationships, our life status, our college, our church, and so on. We sometimes can face some regrets over where we have come, because certain things cannot be changed; however we sometimes can feel good to have realised what the right path is for us. But I believe more important than to be at the place you should be, is to make the most of the place where you are.
C. S. Lewis wrote: “Progress means getting to the place you want to be. And if you have taken a wrong turning, then to go forward does not get you any nearer. If you are on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; and in that case the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive man”. We have all embarked on the journey of life, and are hearing a lot of people say: “it is not about the destination, but about the journey”, I insist on saying now that our destination is very important! I don’t know where you are now, but as C. S. Lewis advised, we can all do the about-turn and walk to the right road. It might be easy to find out that you are in the wrong place or walking the wrong path. The important thing, and the more difficult one, will be to start walking to the right path. I hope that God can give you strength so that he can use you where you are and help you to walk a different path if it is necessary.
